Description
What it is
R3TA is a synthetic peptide investigated as an agonist at three receptors: the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor, the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, and the glucagon receptor. That triple activity is what distinguishes it from single- and dual-agonist peptides in the same family.
Research context
Studied in metabolic and endocrine research as a tool for examining incretin receptor signalling and cross-receptor activity. It is an active area of published investigation and is not an approved product.
Handling
Supplied lyophilised in a sealed 3 mL vial. Store sealed vials refrigerated and protected from light. Reconstitute with an appropriate sterile diluent immediately before use and keep reconstituted material cold. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
